booqbee Terms of Service
Effective date: Oct 16, 2026 · @colin hsu
1. Agreement and eligibility
These Terms of Service (“Terms”) are a binding agreement between you and booqbee. booqbee is operated by Colin Hsu, a sole proprietor doing business as booqbee, based in California (“booqbee,” “we,” “us”). By creating an account or using the booqbee website, app or services (the “Service”), you agree to these Terms and to our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.
Business use only. booqbee is built for businesses that offer appointments or services. You must be at least 18, and you must use the Service for a business purpose. If you sign up for a company, you confirm that you are authorized to bind that company to these Terms, and “you” means that company.
United States only. The Service is offered only to businesses located in the United States.

2. Accounts, plans and billing
Your account. Give us accurate information and keep it up to date. Keep your login details confidential. You are responsible for everything done under your account, including by Authorized Users. Tell us right away at support@booqbee.com if you think someone has accessed your account without permission.
Plans. booqbee offers a free plan and paid plans billed monthly or annually. Features and limits for each plan are listed on our pricing page. We may change the features of the free plan at any time.
Free trial. Paid plans start with a 14-day free trial. To start a trial, you give us a payment method. Unless you cancel before the trial ends, your paid subscription begins and your payment method is charged the plan price on the day the trial ends. We remind you by email before the trial ends. We may limit trials to one per business.
Automatic renewal. Paid subscriptions renew automatically at the end of each monthly or annual billing period, and we charge your payment method the then-current price for your plan until you cancel. By subscribing, you authorize these recurring charges.
Payments. Payments are processed by Stripe, Inc. We do not store your full card number. Prices are in US dollars and do not include taxes unless stated otherwise. You are responsible for any applicable sales or use taxes. If a payment fails, we may retry the charge, move your account to the free plan, or suspend paid features until payment succeeds.
Price changes. We will email you at least 30 days before a price increase takes effect. The new price applies from your next renewal. If you do not agree, you can cancel before then.
Cancellation. You can cancel at any time from your account settings or by emailing support@booqbee.com. When you cancel, your paid plan stays active until the end of the current billing period, and then your account moves to the free plan.
No refunds. Payments are non-refundable, including for partial billing periods, unused features, and annual plans canceled before the year ends, except where the law requires a refund. Canceling stops future charges only.
3. Your data and your responsibilities
You own your Customer Data. You give booqbee permission to host, store, process and display Customer Data only as needed to provide, secure and improve the Service and to support you. We handle Customer Data as described in our Privacy Policy. We do not sell Customer Data.
Your Clients. You are responsible for your relationship with your Clients and for the Customer Data you collect. You confirm that:
- you have the right to give us your Clients’ information, and you have told them, as the law requires, how their information is used;
- you will use the Service to send Clients only booking confirmations, appointment reminders and other messages related to their appointments, unless they have agreed to receive more;
- any marketing emails you send through the Service comply with the CAN-SPAM Act and other applicable laws, including honoring unsubscribe requests;
- you will not enter sensitive information into the Service, such as Social Security numbers, financial account numbers or health records, unless we have agreed to it in writing.
Reminders are a convenience. Email reminders depend on correct email addresses and on email providers that we do not control. We do not guarantee that every reminder will be delivered, read or acted on. booqbee is not responsible for missed appointments, no-shows or lost revenue.
Acceptable use. You will not, and will not let anyone else:
- use the Service for anything illegal, fraudulent, harassing or deceptive;
- send spam or unsolicited bulk email;
- upload malware, or try to break into, overload or disrupt the Service;
- copy, resell, reverse engineer or build a competing product from the Service;
- access the Service by bots or scraping, except through tools we provide;
- infringe anyone’s intellectual property or privacy rights.
If you break these rules, we may suspend or close your account.
4. Ownership, availability and liability
Our property. booqbee owns the Service, including its software, design, logos and the booqbee name. These Terms give you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable right to use the Service for your business while your account is active. If you send us feedback or ideas, we may use them without owing you anything.
Third-party services. The Service relies on third parties, including Stripe for payments, our hosting and app platform, and our email delivery provider. Their own terms apply to their services, and we are not responsible for their outages or actions.
Availability and changes. We work to keep the Service running but do not promise it will be uninterrupted or error-free. We may add, change or remove features. We may pause the Service for maintenance. Keep your own copies of important records.
Disclaimer. THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED “AS IS” AND “AS AVAILABLE.” TO THE FULLEST EXTENT THE LAW ALLOWS, BOOQBEE DISCLAIMS ALL WARRANTIES, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE AND NON-INFRINGEMENT.
Limit of liability. TO THE FULLEST EXTENT THE LAW ALLOWS: (a) BOOQBEE IS NOT LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR FOR LOST PROFITS, REVENUE, DATA OR BUSINESS OPPORTUNITIES, INCLUDING FROM MISSED APPOINTMENTS OR UNDELIVERED REMINDERS; AND (b) BOOQBEE’S TOTAL LIABILITY FOR ALL CLAIMS RELATED TO THE SERVICE IS LIMITED TO THE GREATER OF THE AMOUNT YOU PAID US IN THE 12 MONTHS BEFORE THE CLAIM AROSE OR $100.
Indemnity. You will defend and hold harmless booqbee, its owner and its contractors from any claims, losses and costs (including reasonable attorneys’ fees) that arise from your Customer Data, your messages to Clients, your business, or your breach of these Terms or the law.
5. Termination, disputes and general terms
Termination. You can close your account at any time. We may suspend or close your account if you break these Terms, fail to pay, or create risk or legal exposure for booqbee or others. Where reasonable, we will give notice first. We may also stop offering the Service with at least 30 days’ notice. If we do and you have prepaid, we will refund the unused part of your subscription.
Your data after closing. After your account closes, you can ask us to export your Customer Data for 30 days. After that, we may delete it, except for anything we must keep by law.
Governing law. California law governs these Terms, without regard to its conflict-of-law rules.
Disputes. If you have a problem, email support@booqbee.com first, and we will try to resolve it informally within 30 days. If we cannot, any lawsuit must be brought in the state or federal courts in Orange County, California, and both sides agree to those courts’ jurisdiction. Either side may use small claims court instead if the claim qualifies.
Changes to these Terms. We may update these Terms. If a change is material, we will email you or notify you in the app at least 15 days before it takes effect. If you keep using the Service after that, you accept the updated Terms.
General. These Terms and the Privacy Policy are the entire agreement between you and booqbee about the Service. If any part is found unenforceable, the rest still applies. If we do not enforce a right, we have not waived it. You may not transfer these Terms without
our consent. We may transfer them if the business is sold or reorganized. Sections that by their nature should survive termination, including payment, data ownership, disclaimers, limits of liability, indemnity and disputes, will survive.
